Just Courage (review)

I once heard someone when talking about all the injustices of the world (genocide, poverty, hunger) make a powerful statement. They said, “I stopped asking ‘Where is God?’, and started asking ‘Where are God’s people?”  This book echoes that statement and is a good shot in the arm for most Christ followers.  Haugen calls believers out for playing life too safe, living life on the sidelines and not living a life of impact.  International Justice Mission (a foundation founded by Haugen) fights human trafficking and slavery in mostly developing countries, battling evil on the front lines.  It’s an easy read and also offers an appendix that lists several other noteworthy organizations fighting for “the least of these”.  Overall the book was an average one that was redeemed by a couple great chapters.
